The Challenge

Current transcription services like Azure and Dragon are inadequate for the clients needs. Dragon produces really accurate transcriptions but does not add timestamps to the data. Transcriptions from Azure are less accurate but they do add timestamps to the data.

The Solution

The Transcribe application takes the data from both of those sources and provides an interface for the user to confirm or edit the transcript with the data being associated with a specific point in time. The editing UI enables the user to compare the sources side-by-side, add/remove/change the text, play back the audio, and assign speaker attribution when there are multiple speakers.

Publishing

Once the transcript is confirmed accurate, it can be published as an ePub. The app also has the functionality to edit the ePub by styling the content and adding images. The transcripts will be accessible both as you follow along with the video course and downloadable as an ePub.
